Updating error there was an error performing the update mac

I installed the COMCAST Norton security suite a few days ago, and now I get a pop up window with the text: Updating error There was an error performing the update.
The Live Update log just shows a long list of installed products, each one with a green checkmark in the status column.
If you have access to another computer and if your error message occurred right after updating or upgrading Quicken, copy the data file and application to there and run the conversion there.
There are several reasons that your Quicken finance software could be failing to download transactions, from account setting issues to server maintenance at your financial institution.
Then I clicked on Update Everything Now again, and it ran briefly, downloading 60K of NAV and the summary window came up with all green check marks, so it looks like everything is OK. Sometimes, early, that is in the first week or so of use, I had to run the up manually a second or third time before it would complete with no errors, but now it seems to always work.
Live Update version 5.2.3 (21) Mac OS 10.5.8 (Leopard) Mac Book Pro 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB RAM 29 GB free HDD space The Mac OS Firewall is turned on, set to block incoming connections except for a few apps I have listed, none of which are Norton security apps. I will say that I am planning to upgrade my OS from Leopard to Snow Leopard, probably wait a little on Lion, but I might go all the way to Lion.
"The managed object model version used to open the persistent store is incompatible with the one that was used to create the persistent store."OR "An error occurred during persistent store migration"What about an error like this by just trying to open your data file without having performed any update or upgrade to Quicken?
"A timeout error occurred while connecting to the persistent store."You may also get an error message like:"The document '[data file].quicken201x' could not be opened because it isn't in the correct format."These error messages occur because something has gone wrong with the original data file.
This is a simple and obvious one, so check first to make sure your connection to the internet is working.
When you're having trouble downloading transactions, next look to the financial institution that you're attempting to download the transactions from.
Often, banks and online brokerages will post a notice on their website or send out an email alert to customers if they will be performing any maintenance that will impact your access to your data.
To check if the issue you are experiencing is related to a known system problem or outage, visit Norton Services Status page.
If you see this error message with Norton Internet Security 4.0, then we recommend that you skip the following two updates from the Live Update session: This error has been reported to us with these two patches, and we are working on fixing it.
Go to Step 1 to skip these patches for the time being.
