We gave his teacher a card with a note of appreciation and a gift card to a nice restaurant.
I don't have any advice on your child, but as a high school teacher of 8 years, I'll tell you the lotions and candles get used up, but the genuine, honest notes of appreciation are still kept together for the days when I wonder if teaching is worth it! :) As an educator I can honsetly say that the best gifts are those that are needed - either items off their "wish list" for the classroom or a gift card to Target, Walmart, etc are wonderful! There are these little teddy bears with a gown and cap and holding a heart picture frame.
I was wondering if you get your child a preschool graduation gift and what you would get them?
I have a boy graduating from a christian based preschool and I was wondering what kind of end of the year gift I could get the teachers, too?
Also a little something different than anyone else. I always keep inventory on hand, or it can be ordered quickly, too - since Tastefully Simple is a MN based company. It's more thoughtful and personal than a gift card, but it eliminates guesswork! There is no added shipping charge, and there is a 6-month guarantee on the products! -- but this allowed them to use some for themselves too if they chose to do that. If you have a class picture, you could always have a mug, mousepad, or other momento made for the teacher.
I especially like to give the "Pamper" album as a gift for just such an occasion! I received one from a class I taught, and I loved it!
Art Prints are produced on professional-grade paper using high-end equipment to yield a gallery-quality product with stunning vibrancy.
You have a choice of a glossy or matte finish, and bordered or borderless.
I have a Member Perk out now, too--free shipping for Mamasource moms! as far as a gift for the teachers..they had a list for classroom supplies, this would make a great gift.
If you do decide to buy a gift, bear in mind that there will be an expectation for something for every kid for every milestone graduation, and the schools are having them more and more frequently. I agree with another mom who recommended a certificate for a massage or small pampering treat for a teacher--and with a gift of this type, you KNOW it will be spend on something that's a real treat. For your son, I might suggest some fun summer toy/game!
